Congratulations U11 & U14 Comp Teams

SSA would like to congratulate our U11 & U14 comp teams for their efforts in Jacksonville.

The U11 comp team coached by Joe Berg traveled to Jacksonville this weekend for the Regional Cup and won both games taking home 1st place. The scores where 3-2 and 5-4, well done players and coaches for representing SSA at this level and coming home with the championship.

The U14 team coached by Bion Henderson also traveled to Jacksonville this weekend and played two very good games but came back with 3rd place. Their first game they lost to a team from Jacksonville 2-3 but played a great game. Then their second game was played late Sunday night, this one they won to take 3rd place in Regional Cup. Again thank you players and coaches for representing SSA so well.

Congratulations to SSA United U11 Comp Team

The U11 comp team attended the Palm Bay Challenge this past weekend and came away with second place in their division. They played two very close games on Saturday and won both of them 3-2, then on Sunday they won their first game 2-1 which put them in the finals later that afternoon. In the final game against a Palm Bay team they played their hearts out and gave up a goal early on in the second half then tied it at 1-1 with about 10 minutes left in the game. Unfortunately the opponent scored one more time and SSA was unable to score again although they had several great shots up to the end. All the players are to be commended for playing each and every game all the way to the end and representing Sebastian Soccer with dignity and class.

Congratulations to the SSA United U10 team!!

The SSA United U10 coed team won the Vero Beach Labor Day Challenge last weekend. The team won all 6 games on route to the championship outscoring their opponents 21-6. The championship game against Kendall went to penalty kicks were SSA scored 4 and Kendall scored 2 PK’s.

The team was lead by Oscar Romero with 10 goals and 3 assists Brandon Berg added 4 goals and 4 assists. Landon Kirby had 4 goals and 2 assists, Jacob Van Meir had 2 goals and 3 assists, Garrett Estes had 1 goal and 3 assists, and Kaitlyn Nemits, McKensie Kirby and Daniel Osorio added an assist apiece. Carlos Trujillo and Daniel Osorio played outstanding goal for the team. Unable to play due to an injury was Ian Nottage but, he was there to cheer his teammates on.

The team is coached by Joe Berg and Sal Romero and trained by Antoine Van Meir.

U9 Team Wins Spring 2006 BYSL Championship!!

The SSA United U9 boy’s team ended their season by winning the BYSL League Championship with a 3-1 win over a very strong Indialantic team in the finals. The team earned the right to play in the League Championship by going undefeated for both the Fall and Spring seasons.
The team members are: Johnny Rivas, Carlos Trujillo, Bill Howle, Landon Kirby, Ian Nottage , Jacob Van Meir, Garrett Estes, Oscar Romero, and Brandon Berg.
The head coach is Joe Berg, Assistant coach is Sal Romero, and the team is trained by Antoine Van Meir.

Congratulations to the SSA United U9 team!!

The SSA United U9 boy’s team won the Treasure Coast Presidents Day Challenge last weekend. The team won all 4 games on route to the championship outscoring their opponents 26-2. The team was lead by Oscar Romero with 13 goals and 3 assists Brandon Berg added 6 goals and 5 assists. Landon Kirby had 3 goals and 4 assists, Jacob Van Meir had 2 goals and 3 assists, Ian Nottage had 1 goal and 4 assists, and Johnny Rivas had 1 goal and 1 assist Garret Estes along with playing great defense added 2 assists. Carlos Trujillo, Ian Nottage and Jacob Van Meir played outstanding in goal for the team.

SSA United U9 team wins Region Cup

SSA U9 wins the Region B finals and qualifies for the Hackworth/Davis Cup located in Ft. Myers in April. The team went 3-1 on the way to win the U9 division and will proudly represent Region B against Regions A and C in April.

The U9 boy’s team won the Holiday Challenge over the Thanksgiving weekend.

The team won 5 and tied 1 game on route to the championship, beating a very strong Mako team 3-1 in the finals. The team was lead by Oscar Romero with 14 goals and 7 assists Brandon Berg added 5 goals and 6 assists. Ian Nottage had 4 goals and 8 assists, Bill Howle had 3 goals and an assist, Landon Kirby and Johnny Rivas had 1 goal and 2 assists apiece and Garret Estes along with playing great defense added a goal and an assist. Carlos Trujillo and Ian Nottage played outstanding goal for the team and Jacob Van Meir played strong defense while adding 3 assists.

SSA United U9 Team Wins BYSL 2005 Fall season

Congratulations to the SSA United U9 team

The U9’s won the BYSL 2005 Fall season with a record of 9-0-1.

They beat out a very strong Palm Bay team on goal differential by outscoring their opponents 74-4.

SSA United U9 Team Wins Vero Beach Boys Labor Day Challenge

Congratulations to the U9 Comp team, they won the Vero Beach Boys Labor Day Challenge. The team was 3-0 and out scored their opponents 39-1. The team was lead by Oscar Romero with 14 goals Ian Nottage had 9 goals, Brandon Berg had 5 goals, and Jacob Van Meir had 3 goals Garrett Estes, Landon Kirby, and Bill Howle added 2 apiece while Johnny Rivas and Carlos Trujillo had 1 goal each. Luis Trujillo had 3 assist and played stellar defense. The team is coached by Joe Berg, Sal Romero, and the trainer is Antoine Van Meir.

The team is off to a great start this year with a 5-0 record and a 58-1 scoring differential.

U-12 SSA United Wins Nations Cup
July 25th, 2005

The SSA United Sharks U-12 boys soccer team won the Nations Cup at Cocoa Expo on July 25th 2005. The Sharks won the championship game against Mexico 2-1, Daniel King scored both goals. The Sharks played 5 games in 3 days and scored 18 goals with 9 goals against them by teams from Mexico, Orlando, and Merritt Island. Offensive standouts were Daniel King 5 goals, Alex Garcia 4 goals, Austin Bennett 3 goals, Daniel Hurtado 2 goals, Andrew Berg, Aaron Ruiz, Michael Nimits and Christopher Supplee with one goal each.

Outstanding goalkeeping by Aaron Ruiz and Tucker Guy insured our victories. Defensive standouts were Andrew Berg, CJ Simon, Michael Gazzara and Taylor Zilz.

The Sharks are coached by Augie Ruiz, Mike Nemits, Hector Hurtado and trained by Al Sabero. The team would like to invite any boys with 3-4 years soccer experience and turning ll or l2 after August lst 2005 to tryout for this very competitive team.
